At Soar, we know that a huge part of choosing a supplier is considering how much you can trust them with your security. This is why we decided that Soar should embark on the journey to become ISO 27001 accredited back when we were formed in 2017.
In case you don’t know what ISO is, here’s a short explainer:
The International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO) is an international standard setting body made up of global experts. Its purpose is to develop common standards in different aspects of business to maintain best practices and ensure that products and services are safe and reliable.
The 27001 accreditation focuses on the entire security of a business and it encourages businesses to implement a management system to manage and control security risks. It also focuses on a business’ ability to protect and preserve information. If a business is able to set up all of these processes efficiently and meets the standards set, then they can achieve an ISO 27001 accreditation.
It takes a lot of hard work and determination, but Soar managed to get this certification under our belt very early on. It’s important for us to demonstrate to our customers and the rest of the industry our commitment to keeping all of their data safe, including that of their members.
Our work doesn’t stop at achieving the accreditation – we’re always working to keep up to these standards and we’re externally audited to ensure this. We’re constantly evolving our technology so we’re always updating our security processes to make sure that we’re up to scratch and having this in place shows our customers how seriously we take security at Soar.
