CU Soar has been shortlisted for Best Mobile App at the Herald Scottish Digital Business Awards 2018!
It is the tenth year of these prestigious awards that recognise businesses large and small who succeed in seizing opportunities offered by digital technology and the internet. We are absolutely delighted that CU Soar has been announced as a finalist for the category Best Mobile App.
CU Soar was launched less than 12 months ago and since has won a raft of new business with five credit unions now signed up to the mobile app putting it in the hands of 24,000 members. The potential of the app to revolutionise the way that credit unions interact with their members is huge. For credit unions, using this subscription based product that integrates with all major back-office platforms allows them to avoid the upfront development costs normally associated with similar apps. Members are able to access their credit union in the palm of their hands, 24/7 with the safe and secure mobile app.Until CU Soar, the credit union sector has been underserved by technology and we are excited to change this by offering the UK's 450 credit unions a cost effective way to embrace new technology.
It has been an exciting summer for CU Soar. In August we were inSingapore for the World Credit Union Conference where credit unions and associated organisations from around the globe came together to share their knowledge and experience of the ethical finance sector. Our longer term goal with CU Soar is to take the product to international markets and it was great to see such interest and excitement around what we are offering. To end the summer with the news of being shortlisted for Best Mobile App at theHerald Scottish Digital Business Awards was fantastic and we can't wait to see what happens at the awards dinner, taking place on Wednesday 10th October at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.
